Tracking says delivered. Nothing is on the porch. This is the most common unhappy ending to a SHEIN order, and it is also the one where the outcome depends almost entirely on what you do in the first 48 hours.
The process works. It is just not obvious, and there is a specific button most people never find.
Quick answer: Wait 48 hours first — carriers regularly scan a parcel as delivered before it physically arrives. Then open My Orders and look for the Parcel Delivered, Not Received button, which starts a refund-only claim directly. If it is not there, open a support chat in the app with the order number and ask for proof of delivery. Do this well inside the claim window, keep everything in writing, and if SHEIN declines on the basis that the carrier confirmed delivery, escalate to your card issuer or payment provider with the proof-of-delivery document attached.
First, the 48 hours that resolve most of these

It is dull advice and it is right. A meaningful share of “delivered but missing” parcels turn up within two days, because the delivery scan and the physical delivery are separate events and drivers running late routinely scan early.
SHEIN asks you to do the basic checks before opening a claim, and support will ask again if you skip them: look around the property including the mailbox, porch, side gate, garage and anywhere a driver might consider sheltered; ask anyone else at the address, a neighbour or a building concierge whether they took it in; and check your email and SMS for a missed-delivery or redirection notice.
Do that on day one. Open the claim on day three. Claims filed two hours after the scan get closed with “please allow 48 hours” and you lose the time anyway.
The button most people miss
Inside the app, go to My Orders in your personal centre and open the order in question. If the claim type is available for that parcel, there is a Parcel Delivered, Not Received action attached to it. Tapping it files a refund-only request that routes straight to the team that handles these, rather than into the general support queue.
This is the single most useful thing in this article. It is faster than chat, it creates a proper record, and it skips the first-line agent whose job is to ask you whether you checked the porch.
If the button is not shown — it is not offered on every parcel or in every market — go to chat instead, and open with the order number, the tracking number, the delivery timestamp and the sentence “the tracking shows delivered, the parcel was not received”. Nothing else in the first message.
Ask for the proof of delivery

This is the step that changes outcomes, and hardly anyone asks for it.
A proof of delivery is the carrier’s record: date, time, GPS point where available, and a signature or a delivery photograph. SHEIN can request it from the carrier on your behalf. Ask for it explicitly and in writing.
Two things usually happen. Either the photograph shows a door that is plainly not yours — a different house number, a different colour, a building you do not live in — which is close to decisive evidence and makes the rest of the conversation short. Or it shows your own doorstep, which is worse news but still useful: that is a theft claim, not a delivery dispute, and it goes down a different road.
Either way you now have a document. Keep it.
Do not miss the window
Claims for parcels marked delivered are time-limited, and reports put the practical deadline at around 45 days from the delivery date shown on tracking. Whatever the exact figure in your market, the behaviour to adopt is the same: file inside the first week and do not let a slow chat thread run the clock down.
If an agent asks you to “wait a further seven days” more than once, that is a queue management answer rather than an investigation. Reply in the same thread asking for the case to be escalated, and say that you are recording the date.
If SHEIN declines

It happens, usually with a line about the carrier confirming delivery to the address on the order. That is not the end of it.
Go to the carrier directly. With the tracking number you can ask the local depot to investigate the scan. Depots can sometimes identify a misdelivery on the same route, and a correction from the carrier reopens the SHEIN case immediately.
Dispute the charge. A card issuer, PayPal or a buy-now-pay-later provider will all take a non-delivery dispute. This is a normal consumer remedy and not a nuclear option. Attach the order confirmation, the tracking history, the proof of delivery and the support transcript. Disputes with that bundle attached succeed far more often than disputes with a description of events.
File a police report if the proof shows your own door. Some insurers and payment providers require one for a theft claim, and it costs you a form.
What not to do: search for a SHEIN customer service phone number. There isn’t one for general support, and the numbers that dominate those search results belong to people who would like your order details and your card. Support lives in the app and on shein.com, in chat and tickets, and nowhere else.
Reducing the odds next time
Three changes materially lower the failure rate, in rough order of usefulness.
Consolidate. One larger order means one parcel and one point of failure, and it gets you over the free shipping threshold as a bonus — $29 in the US, or $15 on Sundays and Thursdays.
Ship somewhere attended. A work address, a locker, a pickup point. Most missing-parcel claims are doorstep claims.
And check the routing. Orders fulfilled from a domestic warehouse move on domestic carriers with better scan data and better dispute handling than a cross-border consolidated shipment. SHEIN has been expanding that footprint — a 737,000 square foot Indiana facility opened in September 2026 — and it shows up as fewer of these cases.
Frequently asked questions
What do I do if my SHEIN package says delivered but never arrived?
Wait 48 hours and check around the property, with neighbours and for carrier notices, since parcels are often scanned before they arrive. Then open My Orders and use the Parcel Delivered, Not Received button to file a refund-only claim, or start a support chat with the order and tracking numbers if that button is not offered.
How long do I have to report a missing SHEIN parcel?
Claims are time-limited and reports indicate roughly 45 days from the delivery date shown on tracking. Do not rely on the outer limit — file within the first week, because contested cases take several exchanges and the deadline runs while you wait.
Will SHEIN refund a stolen package?
Sometimes. SHEIN may decline if the carrier confirms delivery to the address on the order, since from its side the contract was completed. If the proof of delivery shows your own door, treat it as a theft claim: a police report plus a dispute through your card issuer or payment provider is the realistic route to recovery.
How do I get proof of delivery from SHEIN?
Ask customer support for it explicitly in the chat or ticket. The carrier’s proof of delivery typically includes the date, time and a signature or photograph. If the photograph shows an address that is not yours, that is strong evidence for a refund and should be quoted back in the same thread.
Does SHEIN have a customer service phone number?
No general phone line. Support runs through chat and tickets in the official app and on shein.com. Phone numbers appearing in search results and forum posts for “SHEIN support” are typically scams collecting order and payment details.
The short version
Give it 48 hours, then use the in-app claim button rather than the chat queue. Ask for proof of delivery by name. Keep the whole thing in writing and inside the window. If it is declined, the card dispute exists for exactly this situation and works better than persistence does.
